He oversees several church/community programs such as an after school program for at-risk children, a neighborhood food bank, a mental health awareness support group, and a emergency preparedness committee.

Before becoming Rector of Saint Aidan's, Dillon was the first Director of Prisoner Aftercare Services for the National Volunteers of America.  Previously he worked with the Volunteer of America of Greater Baton Rouge for seven years in Mental Health and Homeless Services.

Dillon is a graduate of Louisiana State University, Yale University, and the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, where he specialized in Anglican Liturgy.  He serves as Co-Chair of Sojourn Chaplaincy at the San Francisco General Hospital; on the board of the Edge Chaplaincy at San Francisco State University; on the board for the Department of Missions for the Diocese of California where he serves as chair of New Church Starts; and is chair of the Episcopal Bay Area Salvadoran Coalition. He continues to serve as President of his family catering business in Baton Rouge, which served over 30,000 meals a day for three months to Hurricane Katrina evacuees in the Baton Rouge area for the Red Cross.
