Ministry Intensive Training
The Ministry Intensive Training at Sojourn Chaplaincy is an intense ministry training program comprising 120 hours of training divided between clinical work and group and individual reflection. Students learn through clinical coverage, learning goal development, pastoral reflection in peer group, individual supervisory sessions, leadership of prayer/worship and didactic seminars. Students spend approximately 60 hours in clinical work and 60 hours in reflection/education work. The purpose of the MIT program is to assist students in further developing their professional ministry competencies and/or to prepare them to serve as volunteer chaplains with Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General Hospital.
